Foodie Friday: Jalapeno Thyme Corn Bread!

I used this recipe. I did use my sourdough starter discard, so I decreased the milk and four by 1/4 cup. I also added one finely chopped jalapeno, no seeds, and some fresh thyme. Prepped and baked as directed in my cast iron pan.

This was my first time making corn bread and I declared it a success! It came out tender, just a bit crumbly and really good. I do think it could use a tad more sugar or honey, depending on how sweet you like your corn bread. This particular recipe isn’t too sweet. I would definitely make this recipe again with the added sweetener.
