Foodie Friday: Brand Spolight– Saratoga Olive Oil Co.!

Today I want to introduce you to one of my favorite brands! Saratoga Olive Oil Co.!

Saratoga Olive Oil

From the name you can probably guess that this involved olive oil… and it does.

But first, a bit about them:

“Saratoga Olive Oil Company is a family business owned and operated by Chad Braidwood, Barbara Braidwood and Clint Braidwood. Our goal is to provide the consumer with the freshest Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the world.  At Saratoga Olive Oil
Co., we follow the olive crush in the northern and southern hemispheres to provide the consumer with the most recently produced and healthiest oils available anywhere. Our motto is “The best olive oil is the freshest olive oil!”.”

Let me also add that they have vinegars and sea salts.

So how did I come to discover this company? Well it all started with our family friends. We were at their house and they had made a salad to go along with dinner. When we tasted this salad we were actually amazed at how good it was. We couldn’t figure out what made the salad so good, and when we asked they showed us this vinegar that they had been using. It just so happened to be Saratoga Springs Olive Oil Co. Espresso Balsamic.

Have you ever heard of espresso balsamic?! We hadn’t, so we all started tasting it by itself and woah! It was so good. Of course after that we had to order some ourselves, and have since expanded into the oils and salts.

Here are some of our favorites:

  • Espresso Balsamic
  • Fig Balsamic
  • Traditional 18-Year Balsamic
  • Chipotle Olive Oil
  • Tuscan Herb Olive Oil
  • Hawaiian Black Lava Sea Salt

I love the Tuscan Herd oil with a little on the lava sea salt for dipping, you don’t even need any vinegar. The Chipotle oil is great on everything! We use it on our caprese salads sometimes for a little kick.

The vinegars are, of course, great for salads, but I’ve also made balsamic pearl onions with the Traditional and even balsamic strawberries with the Espresso.

If you’re an oil and vinegar lover like me, definitely check out their website and sign up for their mailing list! They run pretty good promotions!
