Foodie Friday: Soft Pretzels!

What’s better than soft pretzels? Homemade soft pretzels!

Once again I used by Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day book, for pretzels you use bagel dough!

  1. Traditional pretzels after the boiling pot
  2. Pretzel twists after the boiling pot
  3. Pretzels brushed with egg wash and sprinkled with salt
  4. Twists brushed with melted butter and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar

Finished pretzels! When they’re homemade they get a little crunchier on the outside than store (or pretzel cart) bought pretzels, but they stay nice and fluffy on the outside.

Just a note, like most homemade bread, they are better when eaten fresh. If you keep them too long they turn into rocks lol
