Foodie Friday: Soft Pretzels!
What’s better than soft pretzels? Homemade soft pretzels!
Once again I used by Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day book, for pretzels you use bagel dough!
- Traditional pretzels after the boiling pot
- Pretzel twists after the boiling pot
- Pretzels brushed with egg wash and sprinkled with salt
- Twists brushed with melted butter and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar
Finished pretzels! When they’re homemade they get a little crunchier on the outside than store (or pretzel cart) bought pretzels, but they stay nice and fluffy on the outside.
Just a note, like most homemade bread, they are better when eaten fresh. If you keep them too long they turn into rocks lol
